Today we took an early taxi to the Sierra del Escambray / Parque Natural Topes de Collantes, we were ready for a walk to Salto de Caburni – a 62 meter waterfal.
The way down to the waterval was quit steep, beatiful nature, we saw another kolibri and loads and loads of lizards. Jeehee
We arrived at the waterfal after a good climb down. Except for a few other people we were there al alone, we really enjoyed it, i have been swimming a few times to the waterfal. We left when a Group of 20 people arrived to make some space. Climbing back up was steep in the beginning, the rest was ok, but it was around noon and very very hot. Never the less – it was worthed evry drop of sweat. The smells and sounds of nature where very nice.
The taxi driver brought us to a beach, Playa Ancon, south of Trinidad. We ate and chilled and have been swimming...
Around 6pm we went back to the city – On Plaza del Jigüe, Gwen met a man called Oscar, his daughter is married to a Belgian and Oscar loves our beer, especially Hoegaarden, hehe – great!
We ate in the paladares Sol Y Son.
