Getting up @ 7am with Gwen to go swimming again. A lot of chloride in the water, it stings a bit in my eyes & nose, but more anoying is that 6 man who work in the hotel are staring at us like we are fishes in an aquarium.
I find it easyer then Gwen to ignore them, i swim with my head under water, everytime my head comes out of the water i just keep looking straight forward to the edge of the swimming pool. Its a bit harder to do that if you don't go under water with your face.
Because of this, the hotel & Rancho Luna is a bit of a dissapointment. (and we booked here for 6 days!!)
On the other hand i just love it here, because of the diving and the people of the diving centre. They are also Cuban man, but they act just normal i'm sure they sąw me in my bikini when i was fitting my diving suit, they can even make a joke -i wouldn't have a clue, i don't speak spanish - but then thats it, they don't stare at you as if you are an alien or giggle like girls. You can just look them in the face and have normal conversation with them.
So i went diving again @ 8h30. With the dive-instructors Ernesto & Sharky (Michel) we went to the other diveclub-location by boat. Fidel was there but he won't dive the first dive, he is training some people who want to learn to dive.
The first dive is located @ "La Patana" its a wreckdive again to the wreck of a containership that used to transport cement & sand. We dive 41 minutes with a maximum dept of 18meters, visability 25 meters!!
Miquel tells me that during winter there is a lot more fish around here. Its low season now, but i enjoy it anyway. A lot of parrotfishes, damsels, and pleased to see the bleu purple barberfishes.
It was very hard to clear my ears. I didn't get deeper then 6 meters at first. I kept on going up for 1 meter, a bit better, but not enough. So i went up to 2 meters (4meters up) and finally my ears popped and i went down.
In between 2 dives, Fidel tells us to get in the water with our mask, he points at a batfish, but when i look it up on the internet, it doesn't look the same, something must have gone 'lost in translation'.
The second dive is located at "Canal Chico". Visability 14 meters, maximum dept 12meters, we dive 48 minutes. We dive under and in between and through big corals. I never thought i would dare to do that. We saw a trompetfish, and again a school of them beautiful barberfishes, damsels... No problems this time to clear my ears.
Walking back to the hotel along the beach with Noel & 2 british girls who where diving as well today it was a nice group again.
In the hotel we already have 'our spot' a bit further away from the swimming pool under a tree watching the sea-side.
We chill, read, chat a bit, go for a little sleep, write, and drink a mojito ;-)Its nice and quite en pretty pretty... as long as they leave us alone, hehe.
