We are leaving Rancho Luna today, we take a taxi to Cienfuegos and then 5 hours on a viazulbus to Havana. On the bus i have a chat with 2 ozzies.

In Havana, we booked in the same hotel and we end up in the same triple bedroom 'Allicante' as we stayed in 3 weeks ago, its nice to end where it all began.

We know the neighbourhood, its easy and it almost feels a little bit like coming home. But for the rest in Havana, we have been lazy tourists. We didn't walk outside 'Habana vieja' (the old part of Havana). We just didn't feel like we needed to. The only time we were outside Habana Vieja was in a taxi, when we came & went to the airports, the busstation and visited Juan's grandmother Martha.

We eat lunch in La Médina. We just really like the food here. They have a lovely vegetarian dish for lunch.

We walk to the plaza de Armas, Greet and Gwen finally can start searching for another book.

We also buy little camera's made of beercans. Its a cheerful man who sells them.

We also buy tickets for this evening to go to "Dalila" in the theater. We have no idea what it will be, but we just want to see something in the theaterbuilding.

We buy some good sigars in the shop of our hotel. For the rest, we chill, have a rest and a shower before we go to the theater at 7pm.

"Dalila"

How can i start describing it... Dalila was a youg local dark girl in a white dress, she sings a few songs and then in between 2 or 3 songs she anounced some friends on stage, also dressed up, and let them do 'their thing'.

The whole show wasn't in the big theater, but in a small side room. The public was obviously family & neighbours & friends of the performers, all dressed up as well and very excited and proud of their son or daughter.

There were also a handfull of other tourist, they must have been just like us, curious for 'a show' in 'the theater' – hehe Lets say it was réally bad, the music, ... all of it. But it was a great opportunity to do some 'people watching' – and it was all so very 'wrong' that i couldn't help laughing. We had to hold our laughs many times, cause the family and friends were there and who are we to laugh? We were ridiculous ourselves i guess, just for being there – stupid tourists! After a while we sneeked out with a terrible headache.

Cuba is truly a country of opposites, we have heared here the best and the worst music.

We also had dinner in La Médina.

Back in our hotel i see a girl & her family that i remember from a school were i have been working for a while 8 or 9 years ago or so. Very nice people and what a coincidence to meet them again, here in Cuba. We had a nice 'little' chat, for like 2 hours.
